Kototama Inochi Medicine
Kototama Inochi Medicine is a unique style of traditional Japanese acupuncture that emphasizes gentle technique, interactive feedback, and deep nourishment of the body’s inner resources. Utilizing acupuncture, moxibustion (heat therapy), and a specialized bodywork called Te a Te, this system of acupuncture is highly effective at addressing the root cause of disease and helping patients achieve lasting change. Ultimately, Kototama Inochi Medicine re-envisions what it means to be human and heal by treating a patient not just for their symptoms, but with the vision of their highest health capacity.
A unique feature of Kototama Inochi Medicine is the use of a specialized system of diagnosis based on feeling the patient’s pulses multiple times throughout each and every treatment. Pulse reading is used to gives us real-time feedback on the progression of the treatment from beginning to end and week to week, allowing us to provide treatment that is highly individualized and responsive to your unique healing process, pacing, and circumstances.
Kototama Inochi Medicine was developed by M. M. Nakazono, Osensei after years of studies in Akido, nutrition, natural medicine, acupuncture, and the Kototama principle. It was passed down in a unique lineage through Dr. Thomas Duckworth, DKM, to my teacher, Dr. Ted Hall, DKM, with whom I am extremely grateful to be engaged in ongoing studies and mentorship.
“The heart of a human being is no different from the soul of heaven & earth.”
